SALES INITIATIVE

DASEKE Dashboard User Interface Design for Sales

As a UI Designer, I had the privilege of working on a sales initiative for Headstorm to Daseke, a prominent trucking company based in Dallas, TX. With a keen focus on enhancing the sales proposition for Daseke, I conceptualized and designed a sophisticated dashboard that not only met their initial needs but also played a significant role in securing their business.

Project Overview: The challenge was clear: create a sales dashboard that not only displayed the vital information but also offered seamless user interaction and actionable insights. The result was a UX mock-up that provided Daseke with a powerful tool to drive informed decisions.

Key Features: The dashboard I crafted comprises two integral views: the Daseke view and the Comparative view. Each view offers a distinct perspective on the data, ensuring that users can swiftly switch between them as needed. In both views, I meticulously designed a range of essential metrics to empower users:

  • Average Operating Margin: Visualizing profitability at a glance.

  • Average Rate per Mile: Providing insights into revenue generation.

  • Average Cost per Mile: Aiding in cost assessment and control.

  • Trips in Progress: Monitoring ongoing operations in real-time.

  • Total Number of Drivers Utilized: Tracking workforce engagement.

  • Trips to be Assigned: Facilitating efficient task allocation.

  • Total Mileage of Last Month: Offering a historical performance perspective.

These metrics can be dynamically filtered by company and distribution type, ensuring users receive tailored insights to address their specific needs.

Impact: The UX mock-up I crafted proved to be a pivotal asset for the sales team. By offering a clear, user-friendly interface and empowering users with data-driven insights, the dashboard contributed to their success in securing new business. It stands as a testament to the power of UX design in transforming complex data into actionable knowledge.

This project was not just about pixels and visuals; it was about understanding the user's needs, crafting an intuitive interface, and delivering a tangible impact on the client's bottom line.
